I'm so glad that the HD format war is over. We can all rush out and buy our blu-ray movies and players now, as many others have (Gizmodo.com - Play.com sales). I got out of the war without a scratch by buying a PS3 ages ago, great for blu-rays and upscaling dvd's, and the gaming stuff is an added bonus! Another advantage of the player is the firmware can be super-easily updated so it can play all the latest films with all the flashy features and also, many still consider it to be the best value for money blu-ray player out there as it has many of the features of the high-end players (bitstreaming!!!). I know I'm a fanboy, but this is the truth. If you want a hi-def player, I strongly recommend the PS3 (and definately get the blu-ray remote).
