I had a friend in Los angeles california who was in need of assistance, as he lives alone and has enormous bills to pay here. I chose to come over and look for work since I'm not doing too well myself in IT(there's nothing where I used to live).
It's so much colder here than florida, it takes three shirts and two sweaters to warm me. I didn't bring much money with me so I'm eating ramen and drinking water everyday. 
I don't have a car with me, and all the jobs here require you to drive for miles to get to work. Trains are expensive...I feel bad for nickycurtis. 
Taxis are $3 per mile. ick
I'll have to rely on my friend to drop me off for interviews and the like, though he works from 9AM and often doesn't get off until midnight some days. I imagine things can only get worse. 
Being poor stinks.
