Q, please : I'm planning and saving at the moment to get my daughter a Macbook it's spec is around 1Gig, 800 Mhz clock so on...My daughter loves the Mac but also requires to complete her school work tasks using Microsoft...Cut the chase...is office an other MS app's installable on VMware - Fushion?

You can install the MS apps on a windows virtual machine & use unity so they display on the dock. To see this check out mac show ep13.

Also as for any virtual machine the more RAM the better.

If the Macbook is intel based it will run VMware Fusion and the apps will all work within a virtualised XP machine.
