I think it's incredibly strong for a first release, especially in the area of free training material available.
I think the one hurdle they need to jump is a true live migration that is comparable to VMware's VMotion. I think think that while they have done an amazing job improving Windows 2008 clustering (the base for Hyper-V high availibility - I think that it will still be viewed a far more difficult that VMware's practically "drag and drop" HA solution
In my opinion - this generation of the Hyper-V product will bring virtualization to the customers that are currenttly kept out of the market by the price of VMware or XenServer, but I don't see it having a huge market with enterprise customers in this release, except in the most hardcore microsoft shops.
