You know something, I am not going to stand for this abuse and if it does carry on I will report it to squarespace.
I am free to express an opinion and submit ideas just like everyone else and those people who have deliberately signed up with a username aimed to insult me then I think you are just pretty sad and should spend more time doing something more constructive. This is a public site.

Excuse me, I have sent 4 e-mails to both Nick & Nicky at the same time, 3 about the forums being down, 1 with a suggestion for a new site. After getting no response I have given up "Spamming" them. As for Twitter, I have tweeted twice to Nicky and Once to Nick. As for the other times on Twitter, they were personal tweets not intended for anyone. As for "spamming" this site, I have not spammed it once so far.
Don't call me an idiot because I actually know the definition of spamming. You obviously don't and as you are constantly accusing me of "spamming" you in fact are spamming the site with repeating this. Who are you really? Because I am not sad enough to come up with a cover name just to insult someone.
Get a life, stop accusing my every move to do with itidiots. I have moved on with this new forum, all the things I did (twitter, e-mail, complaining about the show, pestering about doing video shows) were before this new site. Now the new site is here, I have moved on now, a fresh start. The only post I have made so far (since the forums have been erased) was the one with an idea for the website/show. How is that spam? I have explained my self (before the forums being erased), apologized for my past and people will not understand that I have changed. Instead they just put me down and make me more and more annoyed and distressed. A close family member has died just days ago, his funeral is on wednesday. Richard Hammond being stuck at the top of a scissor lift on top gear didn't even cheer me up and as I am writing this, I have just missed the end (thank-you so much). My girlfriend is close to ditching me and I am stuck without a job and passport because of a problem with my entry visa for getting into Saudi Arabia.
I have one wish right now and that is that my life gets better and that people stop putting me down like this.
Those of you who don't like me, think twice next time before you say anything like this again. You don't know what the person has been through.

I am sorry for your loss.
I don't want this post to come across negatively. I do believe your enthusiasm for this community is commendable, but I think it is misplaced. The ideas you have, would indeed change the show, but in my opinion, not for the good. What ITidiots is, is Nick and Nicky. It has only become a success due to them and the way they do things. Why would we want to change that?
My view is simply that I love what is created here, and I am truly thankful to both of them (and I showed this thanks with a small donation (see link below :P - you can do it too...)). Currently I feel that the show is happening regularly and is a good length, so I'm not sure why any "Idea[s] for the Show" are needed?
Personally I am happy to contribute to this community by helping when people ask for it in the forums, but only if I think my response is going to help. Obviously if Nick or Nicky requested help then I would be happy to offer however I could, but it seems like everything is working OK...

I am out of work and not being payed at the moment, so no donation just yet...
I just thought that I would throw ideas out there. For the record, I am not getting at people like yourself tom, I am getting at the people making me feel even more down that I am annoyed at.
Also, Richard Hammond being stuck at the top of a lift is possibly the first useful thing he has ever done.

I was just about to sit down and watch the recording I did of Top Gear, have you people no shame? Not only do you spend your time kicking Jamie in the nuts,but you have spoiled the ending of my my favorite show.
I have waited a whole week of my life to catch up with three guys that I would be happy to call friends, and for what? nothing....
I hope that when you pass, that you will spend eternity roasting in the fires of hell.

I am still here. You have insulted me in the past on the previous site so I will leave it up to you to guess who I am.
Anyway, if you can just come up with constructive comments and really put the past behind you then I am sure that you will be forgiven. Just think before you post - imagine if you were running this site and how your comments/posts would be taken by yourself.
I'm sure the guys have enough on there plates without having to blog every day. If they did and missed one day then we would hear no end of comments from you about it, just like when a show doesn't come out on time. Mind you, there is no such thing as 'on time' here. This is a hobby for them, it is not as if this is their full time job that they are being paid for.
Just relax a little and everything should be fine.

I didn't just give you a mouthful of abuse, just some suggestions on how to conduct yourself on the site if you don't want any more abuse from others. It is entirely up to you if you want to take this advice or not. At one point you were banned from the site - don't let this happen again as some of your posts are quite amusing and show your naivety. You know (or should) which posts they were!

1- think back 48 hours ago, you were telling me to basically p**s off and find another site without giving me chance to change.

Explain this as being helpful and trying to point me in the right direction. When I read this, it makes me feel sorry for whoever wrote it as the clearly have nothing better to do than sit behind a computer thinking up abuse just because they don't like me and they believe that I have changed since the new site. At the risk of there being a topic, here - you might just as well use delidious, like the Americans, if you want to tag things for the show.
Speaking of the Americans - there's an 'accepted' wisdom that Nick & Nicky seem willing to challenge (like the usefulness of Twitter) - do more of that!
Other myths that could be exploded:
- social networking (seriously? isn't it just tricking people into advertising for you??)
- Open (anything) is better than closed, like the land of the free ever got them more than one iPhone carrier, have you seen their phone system?
- Twitter, who needs it?
- how many media players do I need? as if I want a media player for every network/distributor/record company, iTunes isn't great, but at least it's all in one place
- isn't the price of Google too high? Your privacy is all you have to trade in a Web 2.0 world. What price do you put on it? Google can make billions out of you, what's your cut?
- do we need Web 2.0 and the cloud? Aren't desktop apps better to use?
- facebook? really? it's just for people to keep in contact with their family & friends - kick out the social network marketers?? or is facebook more evil than that? (telling your friends what you've bought on line)
No need to make it an anti-American thing. They're nice guys, but they're not the only world view. Great show, keep the apathy at a high level - alert, but not alarmed.

Twitter I used for a short time, I did start to use Freewebs (webs.com) for my website, but I thought I lacked in content and it isn't as good as 3 years ago when I first used it.
Facebook, not a huge fan on. It is always in the news about "someone said ditch 15 friends and get a burger" or something along those lines.
iTunes personally, I just use for my iPod (which is the only apple hardware product I think is great) and then for podcasts. For music I use Windows Media Player (which I quite like as a media player) and if I have my laptop connected up to my TV (via HDMI) then I use Windows Media Centre which I guess is a bit like Front Row on a Mac Mini.

Just thought of this, I know how Nick wanted a Digg kind of website, well why not have a thing where we can submit links to news stories (a bit like the submit links thing on the old site) and then the best ones get picked out in the show. That way you would not be run down with bad stories each week, even though it does mean more banter which I now quite like.
Also, Nicky and Nick could have a blog which you could update each day telling us what you have been doing with technology each day, more so in Nicky's case.
Just an idea.
