Is it out now!!! I checked on Friday and no episode...

My answer to that is yes. Also, eyeTV streaming... you can do the same with a SlingBox... Depending on which one you get, depends on what you can stream. I know it supports Sky, Freeview ect... my on is the one with the built in freeview tuner and it works great over the internet and streams beautifully in saudi! And you can get an app for the iPhone or iPod Touch as well as normal phones. Give it a go!

I know... three in a row... but the edit button only lasts 14 minutes... anyway, I loved Clint's theme tune, it reminded me of the Lancashire Hotpots! I would like to know if/where we can download the full version. I just cracked up laughing, I even showed my Dad how to download podcasts in iTunes just to listen to it (he is amazed at how I am mentioned in it so much, he says he might join the forums #arrghh!!#).

It is a shame that Nick is moving house because I actually managed to pin down his house in Google Earth (don't get the wrong idea, I wasn't going to travel all the way from Blackpool to Ashford to see a celebrity or kill him #ep13#) I wonder if he moves to sheffield and lives next door to fillague...

anyway, I have a mate from Malaysia and he is like Shabih (technical wise), he doesn't even have his own e-mail address... I did think about doing a podcast to do with stuff like ITidiots, but then I thought I couldn't be bothered but I would like to hear from Nick as his amusing tales used to make me laugh as the ones with Dave & Sufay don't make me laugh as much but are still good...

Oh yer, I keep getting wierd looks from my IT teacher, he seems to be avoiding me lately and it was the other day he was talking about how great some podcasts are and how we should all go home and listen to one or two. It could get interesting...

Su-Fay's comment is spot on. If you're a musician, you need to get Garage Band.

Pros use it to get their ideas down quickly/on the road, and any home user with an interest in music can make music quickly and easily. Forget RockBand/Guitar Hero, make your own music at home.

Good show & Su-Fay's dedication, all the way from Malaysia… Legend.

I agree, I play a lot of music, however I have always been looking for a way to record it. My keyboard will record directly to a USB Flash Drive but only in MIDI (which never sounds as good as it does when I play something live). I know it comes with its own software, but I want to record what I am hearing straight through the current hardware on my laptop.

I have hit a dilemma, Windows 7, MacBook or iPod Touch 32GB? Windows 7 I have enough of my own money to buy legitimately so that rules that one out, but I also want a new phone, but an iPhone costs too much to run and I wouldn't really use it as a phone. MacBook would mean having to carry round another laptop and I could get a much powerful Windows Laptop for that money. So I thought "Mac Mini?" well, that would mean having to get another display, keyboard and mouse for me so no. and I can't justify getting an iPod.

So, I'm upgrading my PC and wait for it: Keeping XP on it. I know, "windows 7 is better" an all that, but I know everything I have plugged into that computer and all the software I use on that computer works flawlessly for me on XP , it just needs a new processor (quad core I think) and more ram (4GB).

So there, Jamie is gonna buy Windows 7 and an upgrade for my XP Box.

Also, I'm willing to appear on a show... I can get skype to work on my laptop...

"So there, Jamie is gonna buy Windows 7 and an upgrade for my XP Box. "

err you know you can only clean install from XP? there's no direct upgrade although you can use the upgrade version of 7 to do this.

"XP , it just needs a new processor (quad core I think) and more ram (4GB). "

most installations of XP wont see 4GB you will see between 2.5GB and 3.5GB (3GB is common). Some of the address space is required by hardware devices and there are issues with the PAE switch and many drivers.

.also depending on what the machine is now, you may need to reinstall XP anyway due to differences of the HAL, it can be botch fixed but I wouldn't want to use it.

And as supernova said, you won't see 4GB unless you are running the 64 bit edition and then you are back to a complete reinstall and potential driver issues.

I would run Windows7 x64 with XP mode to support legacy apps etc. Or if it is working flawlessly as you described - leave it alone!

I was planning a clean install of XP on the XP machine. But I was going to do a clean install of Windows 7 on my current Vista Laptop. I know there are problems with the 4GB RAM and stuff, but my Dad just built a machine with XP 32Bit and 4GB RAM and it saw 3GB. If I could use 3GB then I would, but I have a pretty old printer that works great on XP and you can still get print cartridges for it (they are HPs regular tri-colour and black ones).

I just need the XP machine faster because then it would make a great VMware machine and a great gaming machine.

Also, I heard about needing to re-install the OS after upgrading hardware.

Also I knew I could only do a clean install of 7 from XP but I wasn't going to mess that machine up anymore (the XP box is the one that crashes when I run skype) but my laptop just has some .NET 3.5SP1 errors I think and I have re-installed .NET many times and it won't fix the problem. Skype works on the Vista laptop though...

Maybe my Dad will reply with the spec of the 32bit machine he built a few weeks back (I can't remember) he built it for a friend.
